General terms and conditions

In general

For our offers and services the following conditions apply. Changes to these conditions require written confirmation to be valid. Our conditions also apply if the client refers to his own terms and conditions of business, in particular when placing the order, unless the changes have been explicitly accepted in written form.

Payment & booking confirmation

Payment by bank transfer is not to be considered complete until the claimed amount is credited and finalized on our bank account. We are generally entitled to claim 100% of the booked arrangement as a prepayment upon the placement of the order. If the client does not meet his payment obligations, or if he ceases to make his payments, Esprit Quartett is entitled to the immediate withdrawal from the contract without prior notice.

Value-added tax

All prices mentioned in our offers and booking confirmations are exempt from VAT.

Arrival time and Set-up

The musicians will arrive at least 30 minutes before the event. Their set-up requires a minimum of 20 minutes.

Cancellation Policy

Full payment – minus a cancellation fee of CHF 400 – will be refunded up to 30 days before each event. In the case of cancellation after this time, 50% of the total amount must be paid. Cancellations within 48 hours of your event are non-refundable.


A separate room is to be reserved for the musicians by the client. The musicians require the room 60 minutes before begin and throughout their entire stay in order to rehearse peacefully and hold necessary discussions.


It is possible to extend the previously agreed attendance and playing time. However, there is no guarantee that our musicians will be able to stay at the venue for unexpected overtime. If a longer attendance or playing time is desired, there is a processing fee of 200 CHF. For every additional quarter hour of “attendance” time the extra fee will be 50 CHF per musician. For every additional quarter hour of “playing” time the extra fee will be 100 CHF per musician.


The client must provide the musicians with food and drinks free of charge.


There is no entitlement to a specific musician or formation. In case of accident or unavailability of a musician, the Esprit Quartet is responsible for engaging a replacement musician of equivalent quality.

Work protection

The client must provide a secure performance space for the musicians which is protected from direct sunlight and rain, for example with the provision of umbrellas. In the event of an unsuitable performance environment is the Esprit Quartet is not obliged to perform their service.

Included Services

  • • Reservation of the date as well as the agreed upon presence time.
    • The necessary rehearsals required for the performance.
    • Administration and consultation per email and telephone.
    • Providing and arranging the required musical scores, if they are pieces from our repertoire. When it comes to pieces beyond our repertoire, the reimbursement for the acquisition is to be agreed upon separately and in advance.
